Electromechanical Technician

Nesco Resource has a new opportunity for an Electromechanical Technician for a client in the Ballston Spa area!
Our client offers excellent benefits, an 8 am to 5 pm schedule and great growth opportunities! This position will start out on a temporary basis with the potential to become permanent.
The job will consist of various mechanical and electrical functions to be carried out during a project build using schematics and drawings. Building of electrical junction boxes and panels to print, wiring valves, stripping cables and assembling manifold assemblies.
Responsibilities and Duties:




  • Follow both detailed written and verbal instructions.


  • Must be able to utilize and interpret wiring diagrams or schematics, mechanical prints and recognize components.


  • Use project electrical schematic to build electrical control panels/boxes based on project needs


  • Perform operational testing to written procedures and specifications.


  • Layout and wire pane s and junction boxes, drilling and or tapping of holes may be required


  • Drill or punch for components in enclosure or junction boxes


  • Bend small diameter stainless steel and or copper tubing runs and pressure test


  • Complete and maintain written project documentation and test documents


  • Assist other departments as requested by management



Minimum Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of basic electrical theory required.


  • Proficient in the use of common hand tools to prepare and assemble mechanical and electrical components is required.


  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude required.


  • Excellent interpersonal skills and positive, can-do attitude.


  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.


  • AS in a related field is preferred.


  • Exercise safe work habits and maintain a clean and safe working area.


  • Basic computer skills ? can train on specifics.


  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.


  • Excellent communication skills, organizational abilities and work ethic.


  • Ability to work well as part of a team.



 

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
