Vice President, Commercial Banking Manager

BSNB is seeking a dynamic individual for the position of Vice President, Commercial Banking Manager to oversee our growing Commercial Banking Department. This individual will be responsible for growing a commercial portfolio through building new customer relationships and meeting or exceeding annual sales, revenue and volume objectives. The Commercial Banking Manager will manage a team focused to maximize profitability, revenue and retention of new relationships by cross-selling the full range of products and services.
Successful candidates will typically:
Responsible for growth goals both individually and assisting the team, through development of new business customers and cross-selling existing customers as well as an established network of resources.
Analyze, originate and monitor larger loans and/or more complex relationships and transactions.
Make calls independently to develop new business with prospects that have moderate and complex credit needs.
Work clocely with VP, Credit Administration.
Lead Management Loan Committee.
Gathers financial and general business information and explains products and services offered. Coordinated financial analyses needed to make credit decisions.
Contribute and provide input to loan decision process based on evaluation of credit risk and other key factors from Credit Administration
Assist in the development and training of less experienced Commercial Relationship Managers.
Makes calls independently and invites less experienced Commercial Relationship Managers as a development opportunity.
Prepares and submits all reports as required including pipeline reports.
May prepare management reports summarizing individual and team loan activity.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in commercial banking, with a 4-year degree in Business, Finance or related field. Candidates must have a track record of prospecting new business and enhancing existing relationships in the capital district area. Candidates will have strong negotiating, sales and relationship building skills coupled with strong credit and financial analysis skills. Well-developed communication skills are a must. Demonstrated PC skills and membership in civic and professional organizations required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
