If this sounds like the right opportunity for you to leverage your skills, join our close-knit team today!A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE AVP, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICERAs the AVP, Business Development Officer, you will call on existing and prospective clients to establish or grow relationships in the capital district.
You will work with other lines of business to make calls on customers with complex financial needs.
You will grow relationships to understand customer business needs, review financial statements and supporting documents to insure the appropriate product recommendation and create a complete credit package.
To be successful, you will ensure that banking relationships are fully developed, including specific efforts to serve the retail and commercial lending needs of the clients' owners/management/associates, driving toward commercial deposit and loan growth goals.
You will consistently meet established loan and deposit growth goals.
QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience in a business development position in the financial services industry, with a 4-year degree in Business, Finance or related field.
Candidates must have a track record of prospecting new business and enhancing existing relationships in the capital district area.
Candidates will have strong negotiating, sales and relationship building skills.
Well-developed communication skills are a must.
Demonstrated PC skills and membership in civic and professional organizations required.
