Confidential Confidential Ballston Spa, NY Ballston Spa, NY Part-time Full-time Part-time Full-time From $20 an hour From $20 an hour Part Time Residential Maintenance Technician (Steeplechase) Responsible, under the direction of the Lead Maintenance Supervisor and/or Property Manager, to efficiently perform all general apartment and facilities maintenance.
25 - 30 hours per week.
Essential Job Functions Responsible for timely completion of all phases of apartment make ready work, troubleshooting and assist with repair of major and all minor mechanical systems.
Responsible for unsupervised, timely completion of occupied apartment service requests in accordance with predefined company and property standards.
Perform administrative support duties for maintenance related activities.
May be called upon to perform groundskeeper responsibilities such as cleaning, landscaping, snow removal and snow plowing.
Complete all other tasks or duties as assigned and necessary to facilitate the efficient or safe functioning of the company.
Skills & Knowledge Experience in apartment maintenance or experience in related fields.
Proficient in some (not all) areas of apartment maintenance including plumbing, electricity, painting drywall, floor coverings, carpentry, locks, appliances, roofs, and life safety equipment.
Formal training or certificates reflecting completion of maintenance related course or courses.
Basic written skills and strong oral communication are required.
Ability to function effectively in customer service atmosphere.
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job.
Must be able to provide timely results in a sometimes unsupervised environment.
