System Administrator/Network Engineer

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR/NETWORK ENGINEERAs the System Administrator/Network Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, patching, repairing and upgrading of the bank's current infrastructure including servers, virtual environment, storage area network, telecommunication systems, networking and security hardware.
Essential Functions Configure, install and upgrade bank's server, e-mail, and communications environment.
Assist with administration, maintenance, and support of end user workstations and other endpoint devices.
Provide guidance with the configuration, performance, maintenance, security patching, and monitoring of BSNB's application servers, routers and work stations.
Develop and maintain host configurations consistent with the Bank's security policies and operational requirements.
Suggest improvements and upgrades to hardware and software.
Support and maintain BSNB's WAN and internet security including but not limited to firewalls, e-mail filtering, and virus detection/prevention systems, access lists and policies and procedures.
Support the banks VoIP telecommunications systems.
QUALIFICATIONSThe ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree or equivalent with a focus on IT required, complemented by a minimum of four years related experience.
Formal training or demonstrated experience with NetApp, Cisco networking equipment, Wireless technologies, VMWare, Microsoft Products (Office 365, Windows Server, Exchange, SQL and SharePoint), Phone Systems and Cloud Technologies required.
Understanding and application of security concepts and best practices.
Past experience with firewall configuration and administration helpful.
Cisco Certified Network Associate or higher designation is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience in technical project implementation required.
